Žilvinas "Zilly" Jakeliūnas (1992, Klaipėda, Lithuania) is an artist and painter, residing and working in Tokyo, Japan. Born and raised far from this metropolis, he graduated from Art school in 2010 and made the decision to step away from academic confines — committing himself entirely to life as an artist, without compromise or detour.

His travels around the world have given him profound encounters with traditional art and craftsmanship, where he fell in love with primitive art and developed a deep appreciation for its authenticity and the cultures it comes from.

Working from Tokyo — a city of contrasts, where temple gates hold their breath between trains and cherry roots split the concrete just enough to bloom — Zilly has dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the pursuit of artistic expression, forging a continuously evolving body of work spanning drawing, painting, and sculpture.
